A: Flip books are a unique and memorable keepsake for you and your guests. The flip book itself is a book about the size of 60 stacked business cards, with each page representing one frame of the video, so when quickly thumbed through from start to finish, it turns the video clip of your guests into a paper animation version of that video.

Q: How much does it cost to have flip books at my event?

Q: Do the guests need to pay for their flip book?
A: No, guests do not pay for the flip book. The costs of the book are included in the package fees.
Q: How many flip books can you make in one hour?
A: We average about 40 flip books per hour. This number depends on the cooperation of your guests, the number of re-takes we are asked to do and the amount of copies each group would like us to print.
Q: How long does it take for a guest to shoot the video and receive a completed flip book?
A: It takes roughly 1.5-2 minutes for the whole process, but this can vary slightly depending on how many people are in the scene and if we need to print multiple copies of the same flip book.
Q: How many people can fit into one flip book scene?
A: You’re welcome to try and squeeze as many people into the scene as possible! However, our experience tells us that the best results are found with a maximum of 3-4 people in a video. This is the typical amount of people that can fit comfortably within the camera frame.
Q: What do you need in order to set up at an event?
A: Our basic requirements are a 10ft x 10ft area and one standard wall outlet. We can be slightly flexible with our space requirements depending on the layout of the venue. We also require two 6 foot tables, skirted to match the rest of the event, which the majority of venues will be able to supply.
Q: Can we customize the flip book cover?
A: Absolutely! We can work together to come up with a custom cover for your flip book. We are connected with a number of professional graphic designers to ensure a high quality product. Please contact us if you want to discuss custom covers. Additional charges may apply.
Q: Do you travel outside of the Lower Mainland area?
A: Yes, we are able to travel to events outside of the Lower Mainland within BC. We require at least 5-7 business days advanced notice for travel arrangements. Contact us for more details about possible additional travel costs.
Q: Are you able to turn a personal video into a flip book?
A: Yes, we can turn your personal videos into a custom flip book. Contact us to learn more about pricing and logistics. It is preferred if the video is already edited into a 7-12 second clip, and the best formats for us to work with are .avi or .wmv. We can convert your video into either of these formats for a small service charge.
Q: What if we have 5 people record a flip book scene together; can we all get a copy?
A: Yes and no. We will print a maximum of 3 books/video, since we want to keep the line moving and don’t want people waiting too long for their book. However, we can do re-prints throughout the evening during non-peak times.
